There are only two
kinds of Solar Hot Water Systems which are effective in freezing
temperatures. Clean Energy Solutions Closed-Loop Pressurized and Closed
Loop Drainback systems are designed to operate effectively in warm and
cold climates.
A CES solar thermal design professional will
advise on the feasibility and effectiveness of each system for all
proposed projects.
All systems are customized and are not
pre-packaged.
Our goal is to provide you with the highest quality, most
efficient and durable solar thermal system that suits your needs. |

Each Solar
Hot Water System is designed with the following main components:
Solar
Thermal Collectors: Minimal heat loss from the solar
collectors
is imperative and only achieved through the highest quality Solar
Thermal Collectors. Hermetically sealed SRCC Certified Solar
Collectors are the epitome of form and function. Beautifully
designed and powerful, the collectors harness a minimum of 28 kBtu/day
STC, the highest industry standard.
Solar
Tank: All Dual Coil Solar Tanks in our closed-loop,
pressurized
glycol system are deeply insulated and backed by a Limited Lifetime
Warranty, unsurpassed in the industry. Maximum heat retention
is
achieved.
Heat
Exchanger: The heat exchanger transfers the heat
energy
captured by the solar collector and transfers the heat to the domestic
water that is stored in the storage tank. In the pressurized
system, the heat exchanger is contained within the solar hot water
storage tank. In the drainback system, the heat exchanger is
contained within the drainback tank.
Solar
Controllers and Pumps: The Solar Control System
is
comprised of the Solar Controller and the Circulating Pumps.
When
the Sun heats the temperature of the solar collectors to a point of
pre-set temperature difference than the water in the storage tank, the
solar controller commands the pump to start circulating the heat
transfer fluid through the collectors to absorb heat. When
sufficient heat has been gained, the controller turns the pump off.
The powerful Sun’s rays heat
a
fluid as it is circulated through the solar collector on your
roof. As the heated liquid descends into the dual coil solar
storage tank or drainback tank, the heat is transferred from the heated
liquid to your domestic hot water. Remarkably simple, the
sun’s
power is utilized to elevate the temperature of your hot water,
eliminating that demand from your back-up fuel source. All
solar
hot water systems are tied-in to an existing or newly supplied
electric, oil or gas back-up heating system.
REDUCE TOTAL FOSSIL FUEL COST BY
70% OR MORE
Annually,
a Solar
Domestic Hot Water System will heat 75% - 80% of domestic hot water
needs. This translates into a savings of approximately
one-third
of average household annual fuel bill. Payback periods
average
just a few years and Returns on Investment are double digit every year.
SOLAR THERMAL
REBATES AND TAX CREDITS
New
York State and
Federal Income Tax Credits give back, dollar for dollar, more than half
the cost of an installed Solar Thermal
System. Current LIPA
Rebate money of up to $1,500 exists for electric hot water
customers. We are proud to be a LIPA Pre-Screened Solar
Thermal
Contractor.
