Hermetically sealed SRCC Certified Solar Collectors are the epitome of form and function.  Beautifully designed with unobtrusive, lightweight fiberglass frames, sturdy safety glass and a selective coating for optimum energy yield, the collectors harness a minimum of 28 kBtu/day STC.   All Solar tanks are fully insulated and backed by a substantial warranty.  Densely insulated, copper twin tubing ensures minimal heat loss from the solar collectors to the storage tank maximizing heat retention and efficiency.

How It Works

Clean Energy Solutions closed-loop pressurized glycol solar hot water systems are designed to operate effectively in warm and cold climates, even with diffuse radiation.  The powerful Sun’s rays heat a food grade glycol antifreeze liquid as it passes through the solar collector on your roof.  As the heated liquid descends into the solar storage tank, the heat is transferred from the heated liquid to your domestic hot water.  Remarkably simple, the sun’s power is utilized to elevate the temperature of your hot water, eliminating that demand from your back-up fuel source.

SOLAR THERMAL REBATES AND TAX CREDITS

Taxpayers will receive up to $5,000 from New York State and a full 10% of the cost of the system from the Federal Government.  Natural gas customers will receive additional incentives from nationalGrid/Keyspan.

The average homeowner spends approximately 35% - 50% or more of their total fuel cost solely on heating hot water for domestic use.   Over the course of a year, a Solar Domestic Hot Water  System  will offset that demand by 75% - 80%.  This translates in to a savings of approximately one-third of your total fuel consumption.
